Bathroom Updates in Tampa: Tile, Vanities, and Finishes
You've heard the stories. The crew that tore the bathroom apart and vanished. The job that ran double. So before anybody works in the one room you use every single morning, you want to know the work will hold up and the person doing it will tell you the truth. That's fair. Here's how we work.

What we do in a Tampa bathroom
Tile on the floor, in the shower, and up the tub surround. The vanity and its top. Mirror, trim, paint, hardware, and a faucet set where the old one sat. In a bathroom, that's nearly everything you see.
The kind of homes we see in Tampa
Tampa is a city of two very different houses. There are the older bungalows and cottages around Seminole Heights, Hyde Park, and Tampa Heights, a lot of them with one small original bathroom and forty years of paint on the trim. And there are the newer builds out in New Tampa and Westchase, where the bath is bigger but every finish in it came off the same builder pallet as the neighbor's.

The part you can't see, and the one I won't bend on
Waterproofing behind the tile. A bathroom is a wet room sitting inside your house, and Tampa's humidity means it never fully dries out on its own.
If what goes on that wall before the tile isn't done properly, water gets behind it, and a year or two later you've got rot you can't see until it's expensive. When one quote comes in cheaper than another, this is often exactly where the corner got cut, because none of it shows up in the finished photo. What's behind old tile
Take the tile off a small original bathroom in an older Tampa house and you find whatever the last guy did. Sometimes it's fine. Sometimes it's a patch over a patch, or a wall that's been soft for years behind a shower that looked perfectly good.
That's not a scare tactic, it's just what an old house is. When we find it, we show you what we're looking at that day. Nothing gets tiled over and handed back to you.

Honesty, even when it costs us the sale
If your budget doesn't match your wish list, I'll tell you. If the smarter move is to spend on the tile work now and hold off on the showpiece vanity, that's what I'll recommend. A bath done right serves you for decades. I'd rather lose a job than sell you one that doesn't.
